The Nutcracker
Last night to really kick off our Christmas, my mom, brother, Kris and I all went to the Nutcracker. We had great seats, we were in the 2nd row back from the Orchestra pit. We were soo close we could see the ballerinas shaking trying to stay up on their toes. We could see the lines of the thongs and the bulges and umm, outlines of their manly bits in their tights. That close. If we sat up tall enough we could even see some of the orchestra members playing their instruments. It was a great night. Here are a couple pictures taken before the show began. They are all cell phone pictures of course, since cameras were allowed.
PS - I have lost a total of 23.4lbs now and you can see my face getting thinner! Yay for no double chin!

Wordless/Wordful Wednesday: Christmas Decorations...
Okay so this isn't completely wordless, but close enough! Here are some pictures of our Christmas decorations this year. I made the cupcake liner balls you see hanging in the dining room, and the pom pom balls from the fireplace. I personally LOVE our tree. This was the best after Christmas find ever, it's a $200 7.5 foot prelit tree and I got for like $40 bucks 2 years ago. Last year I had more gold, red, and green glass ornaments on it, this year with a curious toddler I tried to only put a few and our special ornaments and then fill the rest in with glittery wreath decorations from the craftstore. The ornaments in the basket are plastic and from the $1 bin at Target! I have some boxes and red glass vases out too but they are hidden by the super play yard we have put up around the fireplace by the tree. We have 3 stockings up too next to the tree.

Recent Sewing Projects
I have been busy sewing up several Christmas gifts lately. Here are a couple pictures to share. They were all quick simple day projects, but anything to keep me busy.
I made a few dolly blankets for my mom's friend who is giving them to her grand-daughter.
And for my friend Tiffany I made a set of kitchen towels. Her kitchen is bright oranges and yellows and I thought these fabrics would be perfect. I actually squealed in the craft store when I saw them! There was a blueberry fabric too, but I didn't like it. It looked too dark.

My Filipino Family!
So here are a few pictures of Kris' family. His mom and dad are with Aiden on the sofa, and his brother Jeff is in the back with us.
The only good picture of Aiden smiling {although he looks a bit like a joker...} the 3 of us in the back were goofing off!

Barbie Goes {Lady} Gaga?
I saw this this morning on People.com. I was a bit shocked to see the EW.com has turned Barbie umm, into a bad girl. I'm really not sure how to feel about this. I mean I think Lady Gaga is a bit on the eccentric side but she does have some catchy songs. Her fashion just doesn't make any sense to me and I don't see why we should be taking someone like Barbie who is a CHILDHOOD staple for little girls and turning her into Lady Gaga.
Wouldn't having her dress up as famous women role models like Jackie O., Amelia Erhart and Maya Angelou be better? Or hell if you are going for entertainment value why not Betty White? I mean who wouldn't love a Betty White Barbie? What's next a Lindsay Lohan Barbie complete with a alcohol monitoring anklet?
If you haven't seen the pictures for yourself, allow me to share a few with you, you will see what I mean. I think it makes Barbie a tad bit overdone for kids, hope there are no little girls out there dreaming of owning crime scene tape {masturbating?} Barbie!

Playing the keyboard like Ray Charles {without anyone showing him how to play it}. Cheering on the Huskies! Go UW! Enjoying a little sized Jamba Juice of his own. Lastly, playing in his ball pit.
