In other news.... talks have started about baby #2! I decided to get Aiden a baby doll to get him used to the idea. He took to it right away and has his baby sleep with him too. He tries to feed her her milk and juice but also all of his food. Adorable!

WordFULL Wednesday!
Aiden has been showing some interest in the potty lately. He always watches us go. He knows what "potty" means and will go sit on his potty seat. He holds his diaper in the crotch and says "uh-oh" if he pees. He wakes up at night if he is wet to be changed. He saw his training underwear {cloth of course!} and can say underwear and wants to wear them. So... now we practice just sitting on the potty. He lets me read to him, or he likes it when I pour warm water between his legs - he will pour it on himself too. Still no pee, but hey, at 18 months I'll take it that he loves to sit on the potty! At least I hope this means he'll be potty trained before 3!

Wordless/Wordful Wednesday: Christmas Decorations...
Okay so this isn't completely wordless, but close enough! Here are some pictures of our Christmas decorations this year. I made the cupcake liner balls you see hanging in the dining room, and the pom pom balls from the fireplace. I personally LOVE our tree. This was the best after Christmas find ever, it's a $200 7.5 foot prelit tree and I got for like $40 bucks 2 years ago. Last year I had more gold, red, and green glass ornaments on it, this year with a curious toddler I tried to only put a few and our special ornaments and then fill the rest in with glittery wreath decorations from the craftstore. The ornaments in the basket are plastic and from the $1 bin at Target! I have some boxes and red glass vases out too but they are hidden by the super play yard we have put up around the fireplace by the tree. We have 3 stockings up too next to the tree.

Motherhood - Wordful Wednesday
I may be new to Motherhood, but I already know what it's all about....
It's unconditional. It's stronger every day. It's changing poopy diapers one after the other. It's being peed on. It's being needed. It's stressful and yet soo easy.
It's loving your husband more each day. Watching him hold your son, kiss him, nap with him, feed him. The pic above is me looking at my husband after seeing our son for the first time. I tear up when I see it - it speaks volumes about how Motherhood makes me love him more.
Motherhood is being proud. It's being terrified everyday that something is wrong, or will happen. It's wanting to protect him from all harm at all costs.
Motherhood is the "mom smell" I now have from all the breast milk that has leaked and dried up on me. It's the pain I go through when breastfeeding and how rewarding it is. It's the sweet looks he gives me, and only me, his mom.
It's being exhausted. It's never ending. It's the best and most rewarding thing in the world. Motherhood is my job and what I will always be doing. I am a mother now and forever and I love it.
It's unconditional. It's stronger every day. It's changing poopy diapers one after the other. It's being peed on. It's being needed. It's stressful and yet soo easy.

Head over to Seven Clown Circus for Wordful Wednesday to tell everyone what Motherhood is to you.
