In Other Bachelor News: Jake & Vienna Split

That's right ladies, Jake-I'm-a-Dweb Pavelka is single again.  I don't know about you, but I am not in the least bit surprised.  I mean, did you see him dance?  I did.  :)  Seriously though, I wish them both the all the luck and happiness possible *gag*.

Speaking of Dancing..... TMZ is reporting that Vienna's step mom and Vienna believe he was only on the show for the fame and that after the show they didn't kiss or have romantic relations at all.  That he wouldn't even say I love you to her.  Vienna moved out on Saturday leaving a note and the engagement ring.

Not that I like Vienna but I tend to believe at least some of that story.  Jake was sketchy and he did get to be on another tv show.

Another Bachelor romance gone wrong.  Let's all sing it together.... "On the wings of love..."

Bachelor Talk Tuesday.

Surprise, surprise, sur-frickin'-prise.  Jake picked the WRONG girl.  Now I'm not saying Tenley was the RIGHT girl - I'm just saying that she was the better of the two choices.  Kinda like I didn't want Bush or Kerry for pres, but I had to vote for the best of two evils.  Ya dig?  Okay, let me get back on track here - I'll start at the top of the show....

Jake is spending time with his parents and bros and talking about each of the ladies.  Well he is dumb enough to explain to his mom that yes "Vienna is the girl that everybody hates" - how's that for an into.  Then to make it better he tried to explain her faults which only made her sound worse, so he finally just shut his pie hole.  Enter Tenley.  First can I mention that her and Jake were both wearing some lovely shade of Pepto pink?  Wasn't that special.  Then Tenley proceeds to answer every question either talking about her ex and how that changed her or going on and on and on about Jake's parent's love for one another.  She's the girl who brown nosed the teachers in school but honestly didn't realize that is what they were doing.  I loved how Jake mentioned to his family that Tenley didn't know how he can rough house and play around rough, but Vienna did.  Now, if we are talking about sex then umm, yes I agree she may not be able to handle your "rough play", but if he really meant playing around then I have to say having someone who tickles you and throws you into a pool playfully usually is NOT a big deal breaker.

Vienna's turn.  First thing out of her mouth is that the girls all hated her.  Oh such a good impression to make for yourself.  Then the sister-in-laws tried to lighten the mood by asking questions because they knew she'd be "brutally honest"... that was a bit strange... "do you think I'm pretty?"  Uhh... right.  I thought the worst part of her time with Jake's clan was when they asked her what she liked about Jake and she literally couldn't answer.  I mean how do you say to his family that she likes his abs and how he "plays rough".  Not exactly the thing to tell mom about.  So she instead told his mom that "he brings out the best in me" Wow - if what ABC showed us was the "best" of you then you are worse than I thought girl.  Lastly I'd like to point out that she is from some rural po-dunk town with one blinking light (which is new as she mentioned) and yet she was afraid to get into the mud.  She really is her daddy's Troll princess.

On Tenley's date with Jake it really upset me how he made her cry.  I mean I get the lack of "spark" or whatever he claimed was missing, but the way he said it was all wrong.  He asked her assuming she felt the same way and of course, she didn't and then felt bad about herself.  He should have said "I FEEL" instead of saying "How do YOU feel about OUR LACK..." - get it?  Someone needs to teach him to be a little more tactful.  Of course Tenley didn't hold it against him too much on the date.    I still felt bad for her, it really sounded like he told her he had more "spark" with Vienna.

The big finale...

Vienna drawing a heart in the sand was super corny, not that watching Tenley stare off into the scenery was anything better.  We have enough shots of Vienna topless thanks to the web, did they really need to show us her taking a shower?  Very classy.  I was very sad that Jake didn't feel the need to talk about his conflict with Chris Harrison.  I mean we got so used to their heart to heart talks that I was fully expecting him to ponder over the 2 rings with Chris.  Now the girls start to show up... in helicpoters... clearly just another reason for them to play that dreaded song we've all grown to hate love.

Telling Tenley off really was done poorly.  If you plan to break up with someone why is it that guys feel the need to give you the "I love you"  "You are special"  "This is soo hard for me" crap?  I mean if it really was hard, and they loved you and felt you were special and wanted to be life friends... why are they breaking up with you?  You saw the hope in her eyes when he started out and he really should have just said "I'm sorry" to start with instead of "I love you, I really do..."  Tenley had the most graceful and classy exit to date though.  I knew she would.  She left him by saying "I loved falling in love with you.  I love feeling alive again.  Thank you for giving that to me".  At least she waited to say "you are making a mistake" until the limo.  I thought that showed her true heart.  Way to go!

Vienna's actual proposal was dumb.  The whole give back your daddy's ring business made me gag.  Then of course we heard the most wonderful song ever... *cue music* On the Wings of Love... I don't have much to say here other than Vienna is googling eyed and her eyes rolling around remind me of a bobble head.

Here we are "after the rose" and I think Tenley looks really pretty.  I thought Ali looked elegant, and to be honest she seemed the most sincere and normal tonight than the entire show.  I hope she makes a good Bachelorette like Jillian.  I still like her, I mean what girl doesn't have some cattiness to them (besides Tenley of course...).  Jake still didn't answer for Tenley what he meant by "physical" when he gave her some line about something missing.  I loved how she said to him that she felt sorry for Vienna because he obviously had such a hard time saying goodbye to Tenley.  Well, it was something along that line, I agree - I'd be kinda sad if my big proposal came right after he said I love you to someone else.

Vienna still didn't win me over in the after the rose special.  It didn't help that Jake called her "his baby".  Gag - yeah Kris calls me baby sometimes, well more often babe, but I don't think he means it in the "you act like a 10 year old spoiled brat" kind of way like Jake means it.  I get that Jake doesn't listen to the tabloids - I mean he didn't listen to the other girls either so I really shouldn't be surprised by that.  Lucky for Vienna she gots herself a dumb one.  Garsh.  Lastly, the brought one the singer for that damned song... I said it last night, but if I hear that song one more time I just may cut my own ear off.  That is all.

Good luck to them, I give it 6 months in the "real world".  Sorry for typos - i'm doing this really quickly to get it posted.  Just read past them... sorry!

Bachelor Talk Tuesday! Lots to say this week....

Okay so I am going to just jump right in to my 3 favorite quotes from the other girls about Tenley...

"She shits rainbows"
"She fell out of a Disney Movie"
"She is floatin' on twinkle toes"

Haha, all of them oh soo true, and yet I really like her.  I can't help it, maybe it's refreshing to see someone who has been hurt and betrayed and yet is soo perky and positive.

Now for the real meat and potatoes of this post.  I always hate when they show the previous Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants (is that what we call them - losers?) anyway, on their lovely singles cruises and drinking and flirting with each other at bars.  So glad to see that their "quest for true love" has led them all to being skanky with each other.  Am I back in college?  Shouldn't they all be doing something more umm, mature perhaps, if they are really looking for love and not just a hook up?  Just my thoughts, but who am I to know, I'm only married with a kid and not out showing my tatas to lonely men.

Also it's nice to see that the previous guests do charitable work.  I was a bit surprised.  These must be the good few who missed the boat - I mean we clearly didn't see Wes partaking.  I bet Wes was first in line for the booze cruise full of other tv crazy love sick folks. Maybe he wrote a song about it.

I had a few great laughs when they were talking about mishaps and showed the bloopers.  I had NO. IDEA. AT. ALL. that Ashleigh H "fake fell" when she met Jake.  Guess I'm just clueless, but I really thought she fell lol.  I loved that Chris Harrison poked fun at the stupid "On The Wings Of Love" song by singing it to Jake - I hope they realize just how dumb that theme was.  Corrie farting cracked me up - she's totally awesome, I'm still sad she didn't last, I thought she was pretty and fun, and clearly real.  Her and Tenley playing around with the camera on the floor also made me laugh.  At least some of the girls know how to have fun without being snarky.

I loved how Michelle was trying to defend herself and say she was "stable" because she "had a job".  I got  news for you hunny, plenty of crazies out there have jobs, that doesn't make you stable.  It made me laugh when one of the other girls said that it wasn't edited much, that the Michelle shown on tv was just like the one they were living with.  I thought Ali also made a good point to say that just because the show didn't work for Michelle didn't mean it doesn't work.  Ali said she fell in love, and just because not all the seasons produce lasting love, several have (Trista & Ryan, Byron & Mary, Jason & Molly are getting hitched ala Trista style on tv...oh and I think Ed & Jillian will last too).  Michelle's problem is she went on a show to find love but instead exposed her inner crazy - of course it didn't work out for her, she needs to be on a venue more like that Conveyor Belt of Love show that was on once.  One based on looks alone so she doesn't expose her multiple personalities.

Oh Roslyn my dear, see here, see here... NO. ONE. BELIEVES. YOU.  I know that she swears by her sons life, but I just don't buy it.  I mean I just don't.  I know realitysteve said that it was made up, but I don't understand how that could be so.  Unless Roslyn herself was in on the cherade (I know that is spelled wrong, but I am trying to type fast so sue me).  I mean the nights of her gone missing from her room and the house?  The fact that all the girls saw stuff going on, or say they did, I mean they don't get paid right?  So why would they all say that stuff when people like Ella seems to be very reliable.  I believe her swearing on her son over Roslyn swearing over hers ANY day!  Someone who is telling the truth also wouldn't need to try and pass the buck and make others seem guilty like saying Chris flirted with said producers wife and calling out Ella?  Seriously?  Who does that stuff, and even if her accusations were true about Chris the point is she was on a show looking for love, he wasn't.  Her facial expressions just looked beyond fake to me too, she had that Ialreadyknowmychristmaspresent look on her face.  I also adored the ponit made about how with all those cameras around and constant recording how was it not caught on film.  Well duh, even I figured that out, if you are fooling around with the PRODUCER of course it wasn't going to get caught on film.  He would be the one calling all the shots now wouldn't he.  Point is, she was rude, looked like an idiot, and I still think despite her efforts to clear things up, she is guilty.  The fact she mentioned that the producer visited her after the show really did NOT help her case either.

Last point to mention is that I have now decided to call Jake a Goofy Goober.  You know, ala spongebob style.  He is a big dork and a bad actor.

Bachelor Talk Tuesday

Oh Ali.  You are no Ed.  Ed was never a biotch and snarky.  You are.  You should not come back.  Yes, I liked you in the beginning, but you boo whoo sob fest last week plus your snarkiness about Vienna was enough for me.  I'm team Tenley now, so go on and keep sitting by the Golden Gate Bridge and mope.

Now, Jake's date with Gia.  I loved her rhinestone headband!  I just had to put that out there right away.  The place on the beach where they had dinner was beautiful, i'm jealous.  It wasn't a great date in my opinion, but he really opened up, I just don't feel it between them.  She really needs to let her guard down.  How do the producers keep the tub water warm for them?  This always baffles me!

Tenley is soo sweet.  *swoon*  I like how she asked Jake how he'd per-sue her in the real world, that was a great question.  I just love how loyal they both are, it would really last I think.  Neither one would be willing to just give up!  I love how they just "stumbled" upon the black sand beach.... yes, yes that wasn't a planned spot!  I did giggle and snort a bit when he said he fell in love with her at her dance studio... that was soo cheesy!  So the question is... do you think Tenley gave it up?

Vienna drives me insane!  Sure she is playful and makes him wear an eye patch, but really?  Could they possibly make-out anymore?  Let's make-out, then climb, then make-out, then walk the plank, then make-out... is there anything besides a physical relationship with them?  She is such a hooch!  Is it just me or is she cross-eyed?  I hadn't noticed until tonight...hmpf.  Oh and while I'm at it her hair looks ugly and she looks like a horse.  I CAN NOT believe they talked about rings... clearly he knows she is superficial!  Of course she will talk the fantasy sweet... *gag*

I was proud of Jake for calming explaining to Ali why he has moved forward and why she shouldn't come back.  Way to stick to your guns!  My hubs cheated and found out she already has a boyfriend now anyway.  She obviously moved forward.

I love the final chats with Chris, he's such a wise sage after soo many seasons.  Anyone else notice how Gia's photo was separate... telling of things to come at the rose ceremony?  Tenley looked pretty with her flower in her hair.  Gia looked drunk in her video lol and she rambled.  Vienna's video was cocky, I guess that's better that ditzy, but a LITTLE confidence goes a long way.  Poor Gia though, her confidence is soo low already, this may be trouble for her.  Jake better watch out for her mafia wanna-be brother!

To end this I'd like to apologize for any typos... I am typing one handed with Aiden asleep on me.

Bachelor Talk Tuesday!

Okay let's start with Tenley, she is soo stinking sweet.  Like the kind of sweet that gives you a toothache.  Yep, I said it, yep, it's corny, but it's true.  I really like her for how honest and humble she is.  I feel like as a viewer I can really feel the connection growing between the two of them.  What a romantic dinner place on top of the Coit Tower too!

Gia is too insecure to be a pilots wife.  She doesn't have confidence in herself and I think that will cause jealously problems in the relationship.  Pilots are gone for days at a time for work and I think she would be a wreck the whole time and not trust Jake.  I like her but I don't think it's right.  And did she really think she is the only one who puts her legs in his lap?  Hasn't she seen previous shows?  She should know by now that the guys always do the same thing with the girls.

Vienna - how RUDE!  I can't believe that she went to find Gia and Jake on their wine date.  She has plenty of time with him and if she was soo secure with her connection with Jake she would have left Gia to have a little time alone with him.  Next up, I can't believe that she went down to his little cave room in the castle with wine.  Did she really think that sounded like a good idea?  I mean really, can you say booty call?  I'm very glad Jake sent her back to her bed pretty quickly.  I think she is a young floozy!

Oh poor Corrie.  I really like her.  I think she is the prettiest of them all (haha) but the time in the boat where she is waiting for a kiss but not making the move.... AWKWARD!  I think it's funny they were both waiting for the other to go the other 20%.  (Fun fact - Kris went 80% on our first date and I fell for it and went 20 teehee)  Poor thing.  I did enjoy finding out she is saving herself for marriage.  Between her and Tenley I appreciate the girls with morals.  Not that sex before marriage is bad (really, I have no place to judge) but I like ABC showing young girls that you can still be beautiful, popular and on a dating show without whoring yourself out. I really hoped that Jake meant what he said about respecting her wish of not living together before marriage.  However, I think it's why he really sent her home this week.

Side note:  Anyone else notice how Corrie & Vienna are the same age (23) and yet Corrie seems soo much more mature?  Different strokes for different folks - boy how different two people can really be.

Ali got really lucky being able to know SFO and show him around instead of him plan the date.  Even Jake said it, she really got to be herself because it was her town.  I do love San Fran myself, so I can see how fun it would be to share that with someone.  I'm sorry, did they really jump into that water?  I know it's Cali, but that water is NOT that warm people.  Just saying... why do they always do dumb things just because their date is on tv?

Okay so the pre-rose ceremony with Chris, Jake was talking about how he felt bad because he will be hurting someone like Jillian did to him.  You know, I said last week this show is getting stale picking people who were on the season previous, I digress.  I do like the fact that they went through this whole rejection bit before.  Not that everyone hasn't been rejected in their personal lives, but it's a different situation.  I think the feelings on the show are more intense, not always good intense or real love intense, but stronger because of the short time period you are "supposed" to fall in love.  So at least the previous season prepared the rose-bearer.  Jake is at least a bit more sensitive about letting someone go when he knows how he feels, which I did like last week about him.

Well that's it for this week.  I'm sad Corrie is gone, but I overall I'm okay with that choice.  She should find someone wonderful without a problem.  Did you write about The Bachelor?  Head over HERE to Mama Kat's to link up!

Bachelor Talk Tuesday!

Where do I even begin! Let's see...

First off let's talk about the dates. So this RV trip they have going on... well I give ABC credit for finally coming up with new ideas (the rest of the show is still predictable of course...) but the RV trip is something new. Now I'm not saying it's a good idea, it's a bit odd if you ask me. I guess a trip like that would have to be fitting for the Bachelor for it to work. Like Byron (the pro fisher remember him?) but I certainly can't see all the Bachelors of the past going for this idea. Anyway, the girls seemed to play along with it pretty well. I think Gia was a bit scared out of her mind, but it was a good experience for her, she seemed to embrace something new. Yay for her.

Now the sand date had to be my favorite yet this season. Corrie and Tenly really went with it and showed us a new side of them, I loved it. Perhaps I'm partial because I like the two of them, but I think it was a great date. Very unique, much better than another picnic in a park date. At the end of this date was the evening portion - can you say hello to Ashleigh's coochie? I did! WOWZA. I mean she sat down and her entire thigh was showing, and then by the end we could see right up her dress, geez, she was laying it on really thick and she was getting nothing back from Jake - I kind of felt bad for her, it got to be a bit awkward! Last thing that happened on that date I want to mention is Vienna refusing her talk until she was the last one. Umm, shouldn't you be grateful that Jake wants to talk to you at all? A bit rude if you ask me, but yet again, Jake didn't seem bothered. I know Jake and her at the talk about her behavior around the other girls, but clearly she didn't catch on.

Now I was all for both Kathryn and Ella leaving the show, and the 2-in-1 date was a fine way to do it. Why drag things out if you know they aren't going to work? However, did he really need to get all dramatic and go back for the rose and then throw it in the fire? Can someone tell the producers how cheesy that was please!

At the rose ceremony/cocktail party I just need to mention that I loved Corrie's green dress - I liked how her and Ali are willing to step out of the black dress phase and show a bit of personality - they both pull it off well. I still claim Corrie is the prettiest of them all. Now Jessie's 4 strap dress was not my style, I kept wanting to pull the 2 straps that where "falling down" up onto her shoulder. Perhaps that is the style, but to me it just looked like her dress was coming off.

Once again Vienna brings up the other girls at her one on one time with Jake. Shouldn't it be a big red flag to Jake that all the girls talk about Vienna to him, Jessie did at this ceremony, and try to warn him of her personality and behavior, and then Vienna herself talk to him about how the girls are saying stuff and they don't like her. It seems like he hears it all and it goes in one ear and out the other - did he NOT learn ANYTHING from the whole Wes thing? Really? I thought he was the one who came back to tell Jillian just how much of a douche Wes was and that he had been playing her, umm... can you say VIENNA? Geez, it's really sad he doesn't catch on.

Lastly I do appreciate how he is letting the girls go left and right. It was cheesy again of course, but poor Chris Harrison needs more air time. He let 2 girls go instead of just 1, the shocked look on their faces were great. One thing no one can dispute about Jake is he doesn't waste time. I appreciate that in him, no playing games or leading them on. Kudos to Jake for that....

Bachelor Talk

Seriously, Vienna didn't get sent home yet? Oh my! Okay so I guess I should have started by saying how much I love bad reality tv and I am addicted to Bachelor even though Jake isn't my favorite. Let me take a few minutes, for you fellow reality junkies, and tell you my predictions and my thoughts on the remaining ladies....

Vienna - wow, she is umm... well, not MY type lol. Maybe she is someones type, but I think she is too young, or at least she is acting it on this show. She seems to create a lot of drama, and I know some of this is probably the way everything was edited, but it seems like she is up to no good! Not that the girls really have to consider every one's feelings, but I think her non-stop talking about her kiss and date and turning every. single. conversation. about her shows how lack of consideration for others. This to me is a negative trait.

Ali - she is my personal favorite and has been since the moment I saw her get out of the limo. Oh how cheesy I sound, but she didn't do anything corny that night to get his attention and she continues to be pretty wholesome. She has done a bit of talking about people, but nothing that doesn't appear to be true from what we see, and she has also tried to gently inform people, like Vienna, that she needs to be more appropriate and considerate. Good girl, she's cute, she'd get my rose.

Jessica - who is she? I don't know. She never shows up in the episode until the rose ceremony, and then she gets a rose? She's just a filler - don't worry if you don't remember her either.

Corrie - she is another of my favorites! I think she happens to be the prettiest in the house. I don't know why, but I do. She has that "I don't try to hard, but I know I'm beautiful" vibe. Her comedy routine cracked me up - it was based on truth, and the truth is always funny! I hope she makes it to final 3 - then she can be the next Bachelorette - because as i said - Ali will be the final girl in my opinion.

Gia - she's pretty in that I have thick hair and big lips kinda way. It's easy to see she is a model. She does win points in my book though for being honest with Vienna and trying to explain to her that people don't like her and she should evaluate herself in the house. She hasn't done anything to upset me yet so she can stick around.

Ella - okay I get that she has a son and she has an accent - but umm, not my type either. I feel like they put her on the show to recreate that one chick who was with Bachelor Jason. I was soo shocked to see her son show up for a birthday surprise!! NOT! I mean that was not very original of the producers now was it. We all saw it coming, they should have drawn it out longer so we thought "oh, maybe the son WON'T be a surprise" and then WHAM - he shows up at dinner or something. Oh well, she is nice enough, and I think she means well, but I don't think she will make it to the final 3.

Tenly - I like her - she is from Oregon (yay!) and seems to be a wholesome character. My mom pointed out that on the commercial she says to Jake "I'm pregnant" but it wasn't on the episode last night. After much online follow up - it turns out she was just "joking" with Jake. Stupid producers took that and made it part of the ads this week. Click HERE if you want to watch the deleted scene where you see her joke with him - it was in the first minute of the video.

Ashleigh - okay I felt bad she was soo scared to go and do the comedy thing, I would have been scared too, but well, I think they overdid it just a bit. It made her seem annoying. I don't really have further opinions about her, she's not my favorite, but I have nothing strong against her either.

I THINK that is all the current girls. All I have to say is I'm soo very thankful that Michelle, aka Bat Sh*t Crazy, is gone. Also Elizabeth with all her "kiss me, kiss me not" needed to go as well. Glad both of those worked themselves out - i didn't want another couple weeks of her teasing Jake. Or to continue watching the train wreck that is Michelle who really just wants to be married, I don't think she cares to who!

In conclusion, as I told my friend Tiffany last night, I think the show is getting to be a bit crappy. At least in the selection of ladies. I think the show is more appealing when the ladies/or gents don't know who the person is going to be. It's more enjoyable when there is a surprise element and the ladies are applying for the show in hopes of love, not because they stalked the runner up guy from last season. Don't you think it's creepy when they come on the show knowing all these facts and personal information about the guy? Go back to a random pick - find that hottie who no-one knows, not the runner up from the previous season! Oh, except Corrie can be the next Bachelorette please!
