Anyone else have a peanut butter allergy or a child who has a bad reaction to it? We have tried Peanut Butter a couple times now and each time this is the reaction to literally just a lick.....
His eye got swollen this time. He gets red blotches all over, last time he had a lot more and his entire body got bad. This time he seriously had a finger lick and within 30 minutes his eye was almost swollen shut and his face and neck got really bad hives. His breathing seems fine, and a cool bath with baking soda and then Benedryl seems to do the trick.
Anyone else dealing with this? I'm soo sad - I live on peanut butter...poor Aiden.

Thank God L has been tested and we have no allergies here! You should look into an allergist. Reactions tend to get increasingly more severe with each exposure. I think he may need an epi pen in case he has another exposure and it affected his breathing. So scary! Poor Aiden, hopefully its one he outgrows!
My daughter started out with being allergic to erythromycin at age 4. She started seeing an allergist when she was six, and got shots weekly for a few years.
By the time she was 12, she was treated with penicillin for pneumonia, and had a reaction that was so bad that she had to have a shot of adrenaline put directly into her heart.
Now, as an adult, she can only take sulfa drugs for infections - which means that any infection she gets takes quite a while to recover from.
