2.) “Oh please make this a topic for Writer’s Workshop. Pick you favorite song and record your own personal bathroom concert series. I’ll totally do a concert series, I bet I could get my hubby or brother to join in. Now I just need a song…(inspired by Kerri from I’m Just Sayin) {<--- That's me folks! ME!}
I'm already regretting telling Mama Kat to make this a writer's topic, I mean hello now I'm obligated to really do it! However, I feel honored she listened to little 'ole me, and well, she is pretty cool in the bloggy world. So here we go. I was having a down kind of day (this will be another post...) but my hubby felt bad for me and decided he would play along. We did this while giving Aiden his bath so please forgive us. Also, please forgive the cleavage and Aiden's cute little bum at the end.
Without further ado - I give you Benny & the Jets.
And for even more fun I was feeling perky and did one more... Taylor Swift "Our Song".
Boy I hope those didn't scare you off. Please love me, and feel free to tell me how dorky we are. Just remember, it was very brave of us to put ourselves out there like this - love us. lol

My bushy eyebrows!
Okay folks, I feel like we can be honest with each other. I feel like it's time I share a little bit more of myself with all of you. Allow me to share my eyebrows.
(disclaimer: these are not my real eyebrows, I hope you know my face isn't really yellow)
I've considered spending the money to get them
Maybe in another 5 months I'll have finally taken care of this bushy problem of mine. Don't you feel closer to me already? I told you I was knocking on frumpy's door.

Sorry I've been MIA
Sorry I've not been updating much. Not exactly sure why, but I have had writer's block. Just nothing of importance to share. I guess I'll try to fill you in on my missing days....
I've been busy reading my book, I'm about 3/4ths the way through and I have a tendancy to get sucked in at the end of books and want to read all the time.
Aiden has been all over the charts. One minute he is happy and playful the next he is a cranky butt. Today for example we spent an HOUR trying to get him to nap. We couldn't put him down without him screaming. He finally gave in to sleep and slept for 2hours. I KNEW he was tired. Then tonight I put him down after his bottle and we heard him "talking" to himself and he fell asleep within a few minutes. He has also been waking up a couple times a night, sometimes a binkie works for a few more hours of sleep, but not always. The other night after an hour of trying to pat his leg, turning on his music, giving him a binkie I caved in and rocked the kid to sleep. Ugh. I LOVE rocking him, really, it's a priceless time between us, but 230am is not when I want to partake in such a memory. I put him down asleep and 15 minutes later he woke up and Kris took over. He had to give him a bottle to get him to sleep. I'm not sure why the sudden waking at night and why we can't put him down half the time, but we are going to have to start all over with getting the kid to fall asleep on his own and sleep well.
He's been trying new foods this week, stage 2 Apples & Summer Peaches and fish. Yep, fish. The kid grabs at our food when we eat so we let him have a little salmon last weekend and now the kid wants fish all the time. He had salmon again on Saturday and had some of our Tilapia tonight. He does really well with the soft flakes of fish. It's funny, we hear him sucking on it and then see him chewing. When he is done with a piece (about 1 minute) he will open his mouth and start pounding on his high chair. It's too funny.
Today Kris and I had internet troubles, it was crapping out on us until like 6pm tonight. Hence the no McFatty Monday's post. So to keep us busy we did some spring cleaning! Kris cleaned out the hall closet, I cleaned our bathroom and set up the pack n' play for Aiden. He's been on a big floor blanket with his toys, but since he rolls and scoots soo quickly he is getting into everything. We had to confine him for his own good. He doesn't seem to mind it. I also FINALLY hung up some photos on our living room wall. Maybe one day I'll take a picture and show you how it looks. It's sort of my own version of a cluster collage.
That's about all I know for now. I'm out of things to say and frankly I want to go read my book. I should fold the laundry on our bed (I put it there so I HAD to fold it before we could sleep...) but I think I'll just put it all on my sewing table to fold tomorrow. :) I hope to be back to my normal blogging tomorrow or the next day. I have some pictures I want to scan that I found and share. Of course I also want to start scrapbooking again when Aiden naps, so we'll see how well I do at time management!

Let's look back on my young hubby...
He had just turned 22 in these. He found these on his computer yesterday and I couldn't stop drooling. I mean I love my "grown up" hubby now and I think he looks even more handsome now, but goodness he was sexy. Of course I looked really sexy, skinny with really long hair, 6 years ago too. Anyway, I had to share these.

Videos!
I have a lovely new "videos" page right up there in the menu bar. I just added 3 videos from yesterday alone! He Army Crawled, He found and played with a brand new toy by himself AND him being tickled because his laugh is soo cute.
I also have a video of him eating puffs by himself. He's only had them when I break them in pieces before so today him eating them whole and on his own was great. I will add that tonight or tomorrow once Kris gets to see it.
They are all short so please go enjoy them!

No more Izzy on Grey's...
Anyone else disappointed in Katherine Heigl? I know I am. She has officially left the show Grey's Anatomy. {via} I'm not as much disappointed that she is leaving the show, I mean no one can stay on a show forever, plus I do love her movies and wouldn't mind her making more. I am disappointed in HOW she left the show.
She was on only one episode after her maternity leave was up. The thing about it is that that one episode didn't bring us viewers ANY closure. She was hardly even on it. I think she owed it to her fans if not the producers of the show to come back at least 1 more episode and close up the story line between her and Alex. It just is sad. I realize that she adopted a daughter and she decided her family was more important than her job, but you would think the decent thing to do would be to make a deal like "I'll give you one episode to close up lose ends if you let me out of my contract early". I mean doesn't she care that the negativity of her abrupt leaving will follow her? What happens if she is mid-movie and adopts another daughter? Wouldn't you, if you were the film producer, worry that she'd just up and stop filming?
I guess I kind of just feel like she is using her daughter as a bit of an excuse to get out of working on the show and do more movies. I mean we all use our kids as an excuse sometimes, I know I have to get out of going somewhere or seeing people. Never in a really serious way, but sometimes he has been fussy and I just don't feel like visiting so I say "I'm sorry, Aiden has been fussy I don't think today is a good day". I just leave out the "and I don't feel like visiting part". I wish she would have said "I just don't want to do this show anymore" earlier so that the one episode she did come back for could have been more significant. I know her daughter is very important and has special needs and may need more attention, but I highly doubt she is going to stop making movies, and don't they take more time and energy out of you as an actor than having a set schedule? Just like most women who quit a job she should have helped train a replacement or given a 2 week notice. Or does the fact she is a celebrity and has more money than all of us mean she doesn't need to stick to her agreements or bother with being considerate for the people who made her who she is?
My feelings as a fan have been hurt. She's still pretty though and how adorable is her little girl, right?
Wishful Wednesday!
'I wish' .... I could afford this ______ handbag without putting a dent in my pocketbook!
I adore me some Coach. So I am going to show you a the 2 bags I currently want...
I took this picture at Macy's like 2 years ago and sent it via text to my hubby. I never got it and still dream of it. I don't even know the style number or anything. Oh how I love it though. Proof of that is the fact I still have this picture of it.

Let's Tweet shall we?
Let's talk about twitter shall we. I joined Twitter awhile ago but I'm still not exactly "in the know" with it. I mean sometimes I remember to update with a random thought or comment. It usually is when I am updating my facebook status from my phone too. So I don't really know if I should even say I tweet.
I understand that Twitter is a great resource for celebs. I mean hello, celebs like to have "followers". They have a fan base like no ordinary person does and they want a way to keep in touch with them. I think some celebs just like feeling popular, can you say Lindsay Lohan, but I think a lot of them really like having a safe way to communicate with their supporters. I think the ones who post "having dinner @...." are just begging for stalkers and papparazi to come find them, but that is their own choice. I guess I just feel that Twitter was kinda made for celebs to use. They can show support for causes and get people involved like Ellen does. She does giveaways and encourages her fans to have fun. It's great.
I just don't get how Twitter benefits most everyday kinda people though. Like me. I am a stay at home mom with more blog friends than real friends. I mean, I have a handful of close friends I love and keep in touch with, and well, that's it. None of my close friends tweet, and even if they did, they wouldn't be tweeting to inform me that they are going to sushi for lunch. They'd just text me. Don't people tend to overshare on Twitter too? Isn't that supposed to be the thing to do? Should I really update my Twitter with "I'm going pee right now", is that what it's for? Maybe it's just me, but I typically don't take my phone with me to the restroom. I don't feel like I have random tidbits of knowledge to share, and while I'm at it, I don't have a lot of people on Twitter to share my tidbits with!
So here are my real questions....
How do you tweet? How do you link up your blogs to Twitter? I have my handy little Twitter update right there on the side of this post, but well, it doesn't really generate traffic or anything. I've tried to upload a picture from my phone to Twitter but it's a big fail. Maybe it's my phone, I have a blackberry pearl, shouldn't it work? Do you follow mostly friends you know, or do you tweet with strangers and celebs? Do you have all tweets sent to your phone? Personally I have incoming tweets turned off on my phone, the constant texts would drive me crazy. Maybe I am behind in the trend because I only check those things when I get online. Someone help - how am I supposed to be tweeting? What can Twitter do for my blog?

Dinner: Shrimp & Bowties
Well last night's dinner was a bit spontaneous. We knew we wanted shrimp but had no idea what to do with it. So I just made something up. I started out with olive oil and minced garlic. In the meantime I had the shrimp soaking in lemon juice, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes and oregano. Once the garlic and olive were starting to smell really good I just tossed the shrimp mixture in. I added just a tablespoon of light butter too. 4 minutes and the shrimp was done. We just tossed it over some bowtie pasta and man oh man was it soo yummy. My mom even tried some and really enjoyed it! I just wanted to share because it was soo simple but yummy. Kris even took pics of it - it was just that good.

Blog Award!
A big thanks to Care at The Exposed Mom for this little award.
Here are the rules...
1) Post where you want to be in 10 years (yikes)
Oh boy 10 years seems to far away. Let's see here 10 years from now I see myself with 3 or 4 kids *gasp*. I am hoping for at least 1 girl, honestly I see myself with a house full of boys so I will say 3 boys and the baby will be a little girl. All the boys will be protective of her. I hope to have myself published at least 5 times - either online magazines, real magazines etc. Doesn't have to be something special, just something. I have 1 out of 5 already done too! We will have a house, 2 cars and a dog. I don't want the dog, but I know Kris will win that arguement. I hope to still be active in my own hobbies like sewing and scrapbooking and be an active stay at home mom. By that I mean PTA, soccor mom, field trip mom etc. Oh and I will be a healthy size 10.
2) Pass it on to 10 of your BF's (Blog friends)
10 seems to be a bit much when I don't have 10 that regularly comment even. I tried to just give the last award away and not a single person even took it or left a comment on the post. So I will try again. The first 5 people to comment can have this award. Seriously, if you don't have this award you should because all the blogs I read and ladies who follow me are inspiring to me as a friend and writer. So comment and take it with pride. or don't and make me look dumb again for not even successfully giving away an award... lol

Celeb Talk.
Let's talk about Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. I am just so very said for Sandra. She is such a wonderful person, she's smart, down to earth and beautiful. I just can't believe that Jesse cheated on her. I really thought they had something great going on. They kept their lives private and I gave them props for that, but obviously he couldn't be tied down. Is it really too much to ask for celebrity men to be loyal? You know she had to make more money than him too, not that money means happiness, but how dumb is he? She even was helping him fight to get full custody of his kid(s). Just so depressing to me.
Now, moving on - Justin Bieber. I realize he's young and all, but I have a little crush on him. His song is soo stinking catchy, I just can't help myself. I told Kris today he needs to make me a workout mix and he would certainly be on my list!
Lastly anyone else remember Ralph Macchio? You know, the original Karate Kid? Well my husband is obssesed with those movies so of course he is on my mind. I had no idea that he was still out in about in the celebrity world. Lo and behold this morning he was cohosting on the Today show. I was shocked. You know what is evening more shocking? He looks exactly the same. No kidding - take a look below... Hoda Kotb asked him how he felt about the remake of the Karate Kid movie and he basically said "it will be interesting". You could tell he feels the way I do - it will NOT be even close to the original.

He will NOT sleep anymore... help?
Aiden is a pretty good sleeper. He has been from the begining. We had our troubles putting him down while he slept, but not a problem getting him to actually sleep. We switched him to his big boy crib 2 weeks ago - the first week he slept 8 hours without waking up once! I was soo happy, it worked! A month ago I got him to where he would put himself to sleep if I laid him down drowsy. We've been on a roll. We didn't even hit the 4 month wakeful - he still slept.
NOT NOW. I don't know if it's the new first tooth, the impending 2nd tooth, the fact he is desperately trying to crawl, seperation anxiety, that maybe we let him fall asleep being held (mostly in situations where there was no crib for him) too many times lately - no clue, but the kid won't sleep anymore.
He is slowly getting worse and worse at falling asleep on his own. He will be drowsy and yawning and I lay him down and he screams and reaches up for me. He has been waking up 3 times a night, and not always does a paci put him back to sleep. Last night after 30 minutes of him not sleeping at 5am I was desperate and rocked him to sleep. 3 minutes after I laid him down and crawled back into my own bed he woke up. 3 minutes. 3. Poor Kris had to get up with him at that point because I was spent. Kris just fed him a bottle - he sat next to the crib and didn't hold Aiden to feed him - and he finally fell back asleep for a couple hours.
The night before, so this would have been Monday night, Kris actually had to sleep in Aiden's room on the floor for about 4 hours so all of us would get sleep. Aiden watched him through his crib slats and finally fell asleep. We have even been desperate enough to turn the tv on in Aiden's room trying to trick him with noise. You know what? I walked in and found Aiden watching the tv through the crib slats! Fail!
Tonight we have been trying to put him down to sleep for about 2 hours, and counting. He was fussy, rubbing his eyes, pulling on his hair and ears (one of his sleep cues - not sure if this is a normal one?) and so we put him down. He cried. We fed him his bedtime bottle and he started to act like he was falling asleep in my arm after the bottle. Key word there is act. I set him in his crib and he was awake and playing for the next hour. Kris and I went to bed thinking we would watch tv quietly and wait it out - he had to tire of playing at some point and put himself to sleep, right? Wrong. We both jumped out of bed when he heard loud banging noises coming from Aiden's room. The kid was kicking, and he kicks hard enough to bruise my thigh mind you, his crib. He was kicking! He smiled up at us when we looked in on him.
Now we sit awake as a family in the living room. Aiden is jumping something fierce in his jumperoo and yawning constantly. The kid will not give in. I have even looked over to "catch" him yawning and he quickly giggles and gives me a huge smile. I'm blogging, Kris is playing Mario on Wii and we are just waiting him out. It's going to be another long night.
What is going on here? Anyone else go through this? He was sleeping soo well, at least 5-6hrs at a time most night and even when he woke up it was just because he needed a paci - he would be asleep again in a minute after he got it. Now I'm lucky for 2 hours straight of sleep. Is it normal for them to digress? I was going to cry it out last month to get him into good sleeping habits, but it turned into 1 day of "fuss it out" and it was a solved problem. Now I fear I'll need to try again and I have a sneaky feeling this time he will fight it and cry instead of fuss and just give in to sleeping well. Grr... help. What can we do??

Our version of "Sophie" the giraffe...
You know that squeaky chew toy that all the new mom's are raving over? Well I didn't buy into the fuss, it's just my opinion, but well, I didn't think it was worth the price for a squeaky toy. In my opinion, only dog toys should squeak when they are chewed. Now I am sure I don't need it - Aiden found his own Giraffe, thanks to his plastic Noah's Ark, to chew on - and it's squeaker free.

McFatty Monday! A BIG CHANGE HERE....
I have made a new blog! It's going to be just for my weight loss. A few days this week I wanted to write about my weight, what I'd done that day etc. but I don't want to weigh down (sorry for the pun) my regular blog with all my weight troubles. Sometimes is okay, but I'd rather have a seperate place just to share and connect with the few of you interested in my weight journey.
So without further ado my 2nd blog.... Kerri-ing Excess Weight. My Journey to get fit. Follow it, take the button (code on the new site), or don't. Up to you! Click below to see my great weight loss this week AND to read about my applying for The Biggest Loser?!?

The Davinci Code: Book Review
So I finally finished my 2nd book for the year. If you recall I'm on a mission to read 12 for the year, roughly 1 a month. Book 2 took a while, but I am here to tell you about it.
Dan Brown really does a great job writing. It took me a while to get sucked in, I think it was because I had seen the movie soo many times that I was just not excited about the book. I stuck to it though and once I got into it I really liked the book better than the movie. Usually I read a book before I read the movie, I like to compare it that way. However, it was kinda fun to read the book after the movie this time. The book has a lot of differences, some small and some huge changes. I understand the reason some peices were left out, it would be a much longer movie otherwise. There was one big change that I liked better though - stop reading if you don't want a spoiler - I liked that in the book Sophie's brother lived instead of dying in the car crash. I liked how Dan Brown had the grandma raising the boy and he explained how the 2 grandparents were the ones Sophie saw in the "sex scene" when she snuck in on the Priory ceremony. It made much more sense to me than for her to be alone in the world at the end of the book. Also, at the end of the book she is hitting on Langdon and they set up a date - but in the movie it would have been better if she flirted with Langdon - I mean hello - she was left to carry on the bloodline.
Anyway, overall I really enjoyed the book once I got going into it. I'd certainly suggest it, but I still am torn whether I'd suggest reading the book first or seeing the movie first - you decide!

You Like Me! A bloggy award...
Somebody gave me a new award! And by somebody I mean somebody GOOD... it was the lovely gal over at "Really? I'm a Mom?". She's another new mom just like me, and she is going through the dreaded teething too! Poor thing! Anyway, she obviously thought I was good enough for this pretty little number, which I appreciate very much. So thank you. Go take a look at her blog, if nothing else, look at the cute little one - who doesn't love baby pictures? She calls her son a monkey just like we do to Aiden, I'm not gonna lie, it makes me like her even more!
Ok here are the rules:
2. Pass the award onto 12 fellow bloggers.
3. Link the nominees within your post.
4. Let the nominees know they have received this award by leaving a comment on their blogs.
5. Share the love and link to the person who gave you the award! Now, to pass this award on to 12 bloggers who bring a little sunshine to my day!
12 people... geez this seems like a lot of work to link to people. Sorry ladies, I'm too tired to go put together all the links. Soo... umm, the first 12 ladies to comment on this post get the award! Not that I actually think 12 of you will comment, but you may surprise me... Woot. Now, go comment and tell me you are taking it!! Quick... don't all rush to leave a comment at once..... Go....

The best part of my day....
Is when Aiden wants to snuggle with me. Sometimes it's when he is getting tired but not sleepy enough to be put in his bed. Sometimes it's right after he wakes up and isn't ready to go play. Sometimes it has been when his teething was bothering him and we gave him Tylenol. I can't wait until he is a bit earlier and will lay down with me for longer. Like when he wants to watch a movie or lay down to nap with mommy. Today was a nice start to that. We laid on our bed because daddy was playing video games in the living room. I turned on Finding Nemo and he laid with me and he played with his paci (he now can take it in and out on his own) and actully watched and laughed at the fish for 30 minutes before he got restless! I love my momma's boy!
PS - that is my arm wrapped around him.

Writer's Workshop: Haiku's
I seem to be in the habit of taking a few weeks off from Mama Kat's and then picking up the slack. This is that week. I'll join in. The topics just seem soo difficult for me lately. They are all about being creative, which I do NOT have the time for. Like recently we were supposed to rewrite a fairy tale, great starter, but umm, no time for me to brainstorm and put something down. Oh well, this week was a simple one, so here we go. Click HERR (umm, HERE is what I meant, but I will leave it because when I re-read it I thought of Nelly - the rapper you know.... hot in HERR...) ANYWHO, click on that little diddy or the button below my lovely Haiku's.
3.) Write a Haiku that describes what you love about an ordinary day.
3.) Write a Haiku that describes what you love about an ordinary day.

Other Aiden news.... sleeping in his big boy crib and recent pics!
So we decided this weekend to move our bedroom furniture around. This made the choice to take down the Pack n' Play an easy one. There wasn't as much room and we thought he might be ready for his big boy bed and his big boy room. The first night went super well. We only had to get a paci for him 3 times. All 3 times once he had his paci back he was sound asleep. The 2nd night we only had to "find the paci" twice for him, at 2am and 5am. We were still getting to sleep from about 10pm until about 7am. Night 3 was AWESOME. He was put down (we put him to bed drowsy) at 10 and was out like a light. I woke up at 6am and had a panic moment realizing that we hadn't heard a peep from him all night! Kris went in and he was stiring a bit, so in the paci went and we all slept another 2 hours. I was in shock to get 8 solid hours of sleep. It was wonderful.
Overall I'm soo glad we made the move now instead of waiting until 6 months like I originally planned. He is sleeping better, I think part of that is we keep the heat going in his room (ours was always cold) and we are sleeping much better too. It makes us laugh to see how he ends up in his crib too. We go in to see him and he is always twisted funny and at the top of the crib, flat smushed into the breathable bumper etc. I will try to get a picture of him all sprawled out, but well, I don't want to risk waking him up with the flash.
In other news he has discovered the patio door. We moved the living room around and put him jumperoo by the slider so he can look outside. I think the sunny weather is exciting to him. It's cute to watch him when Kris takes him out and stands on the patio for a few minutes. I can't wait until there are birds outside in our big trees for him to see. He also found his feet this week. He's been staring at them for a while now, but due to his round tummy he couldn't reach them - now he won't stop!

We have a tooth! Picture included.
Aiden has been teething for 3 months now. It's not been too fun. I started feeling a tooth last week, but it finally cut the skin overnight on Sunday. We woke up yesterday to a tooth! It was a pain to get a picture of it to share, but of course we just had to! It's soo cute. It's sharp too.

McFatty Monday's.
My husband is soo supportive. I knew this already, but he really showed me again this week. I told him I was really serious about losing this weight, that I felt very unhappy with myself and about McFatty Monday's. I joined up at a website this week, sparkpeople.com, that will allow me to do what WW would (track weight, food, exercise, calories, find recipes...) but it is FREE. I was thrilled and have been tracking my calories all week! I have also been upping my water intake, this is the hard part for me. I hate water. I'm trying though. I am feeling like I have more energy and also have been sleeping better this week AND less back pain. I'm kinda surprised what a week can actually do.
Kris was very proud of me, he watched me doing my semi-lame Wii Fit Plus workout (mostly advanced step aerobics for 20 minutes and boxing) and saw that I was actually seeing some progress (how I felt if not in numbers). On Thursday he told me that since I was doing so well and he knew I was being serious about this he took me shopping. He told me to pick out whatever new workout outfit it was that I wanted, and he went to get something. He got me The Biggest Loser workout program for Wii! Yay! So far it's really neat. I hope it really does me some good. I will still do some Wii Fit Plus stuff on the side too of course, but this way I won't get bored. I went and did 40 minutes on the Elipitical machine at our apartment gym this week too - I'm keeping it mixed up so I don't get bored with one thing. I wasn't planning to get anything new to workout in, but I found stuff on clearance and Kris said I needed to enjoy working out and feel comfortable so new clothes it was. I thought that was sweet of him. Then he took me to payless to buy new tennis shoes (I don't have any workout kind, just comfy kind). I used a gift card I had from my dad left over from my birthday, so I was cheap.
I've been doing better with my eating habits too. I have been enjoying the all fruit bars for a treat a night, only like 80cals each and soo yummy. I have tangerine, strawberry and pomegranite ones. I also have been eating my eggs either poached or hard boiled. I have been eating more grilled fish, or tuna and wheat thins for lunch and lots of steamed veggies. I always have enjoyed healthy foods, I just need to remember to eat them!
No new weight today, I didn't weigh myself this morning and then I worked out and now I'm eating lunch so well, I'll save the weight check for tomorrow morning and I'll update you then. :)

Bachelor Talk Tuesday.
Surprise, surprise, sur-frickin'-prise. Jake picked the WRONG girl. Now I'm not saying Tenley was the RIGHT girl - I'm just saying that she was the better of the two choices. Kinda like I didn't want Bush or Kerry for pres, but I had to vote for the best of two evils. Ya dig? Okay, let me get back on track here - I'll start at the top of the show....
Jake is spending time with his parents and bros and talking about each of the ladies. Well he is dumb enough to explain to his mom that yes "Vienna is the girl that everybody hates" - how's that for an into. Then to make it better he tried to explain her faults which only made her sound worse, so he finally just shut his pie hole. Enter Tenley. First can I mention that her and Jake were both wearing some lovely shade of Pepto pink? Wasn't that special. Then Tenley proceeds to answer every question either talking about her ex and how that changed her or going on and on and on about Jake's parent's love for one another. She's the girl who brown nosed the teachers in school but honestly didn't realize that is what they were doing. I loved how Jake mentioned to his family that Tenley didn't know how he can rough house and play around rough, but Vienna did. Now, if we are talking about sex then umm, yes I agree she may not be able to handle your "rough play", but if he really meant playing around then I have to say having someone who tickles you and throws you into a pool playfully usually is NOT a big deal breaker.
Vienna's turn. First thing out of her mouth is that the girls all hated her. Oh such a good impression to make for yourself. Then the sister-in-laws tried to lighten the mood by asking questions because they knew she'd be "brutally honest"... that was a bit strange... "do you think I'm pretty?" Uhh... right. I thought the worst part of her time with Jake's clan was when they asked her what she liked about Jake and she literally couldn't answer. I mean how do you say to his family that she likes his abs and how he "plays rough". Not exactly the thing to tell mom about. So she instead told his mom that "he brings out the best in me" Wow - if what ABC showed us was the "best" of you then you are worse than I thought girl. Lastly I'd like to point out that she is from some rural po-dunk town with one blinking light (which is new as she mentioned) and yet she was afraid to get into the mud. She really is her daddy's Troll princess.
On Tenley's date with Jake it really upset me how he made her cry. I mean I get the lack of "spark" or whatever he claimed was missing, but the way he said it was all wrong. He asked her assuming she felt the same way and of course, she didn't and then felt bad about herself. He should have said "I FEEL" instead of saying "How do YOU feel about OUR LACK..." - get it? Someone needs to teach him to be a little more tactful. Of course Tenley didn't hold it against him too much on the date. I still felt bad for her, it really sounded like he told her he had more "spark" with Vienna.
The big finale...
Vienna drawing a heart in the sand was super corny, not that watching Tenley stare off into the scenery was anything better. We have enough shots of Vienna topless thanks to the web, did they really need to show us her taking a shower? Very classy. I was very sad that Jake didn't feel the need to talk about his conflict with Chris Harrison. I mean we got so used to their heart to heart talks that I was fully expecting him to ponder over the 2 rings with Chris. Now the girls start to show up... in helicpoters... clearly just another reason for them to play that dreaded song we've all grown to hate love.
Telling Tenley off really was done poorly. If you plan to break up with someone why is it that guys feel the need to give you the "I love you" "You are special" "This is soo hard for me" crap? I mean if it really was hard, and they loved you and felt you were special and wanted to be life friends... why are they breaking up with you? You saw the hope in her eyes when he started out and he really should have just said "I'm sorry" to start with instead of "I love you, I really do..." Tenley had the most graceful and classy exit to date though. I knew she would. She left him by saying "I loved falling in love with you. I love feeling alive again. Thank you for giving that to me". At least she waited to say "you are making a mistake" until the limo. I thought that showed her true heart. Way to go!
Vienna's actual proposal was dumb. The whole give back your daddy's ring business made me gag. Then of course we heard the most wonderful song ever... *cue music* On the Wings of Love... I don't have much to say here other than Vienna is googling eyed and her eyes rolling around remind me of a bobble head.
Here we are "after the rose" and I think Tenley looks really pretty. I thought Ali looked elegant, and to be honest she seemed the most sincere and normal tonight than the entire show. I hope she makes a good Bachelorette like Jillian. I still like her, I mean what girl doesn't have some cattiness to them (besides Tenley of course...). Jake still didn't answer for Tenley what he meant by "physical" when he gave her some line about something missing. I loved how she said to him that she felt sorry for Vienna because he obviously had such a hard time saying goodbye to Tenley. Well, it was something along that line, I agree - I'd be kinda sad if my big proposal came right after he said I love you to someone else.
Vienna still didn't win me over in the after the rose special. It didn't help that Jake called her "his baby". Gag - yeah Kris calls me baby sometimes, well more often babe, but I don't think he means it in the "you act like a 10 year old spoiled brat" kind of way like Jake means it. I get that Jake doesn't listen to the tabloids - I mean he didn't listen to the other girls either so I really shouldn't be surprised by that. Lucky for Vienna she gots herself a dumb one. Garsh. Lastly, the brought one the singer for that damned song... I said it last night, but if I hear that song one more time I just may cut my own ear off. That is all.
Good luck to them, I give it 6 months in the "real world". Sorry for typos - i'm doing this really quickly to get it posted. Just read past them... sorry!

Happy 101 Award....
I received this little award from Laura over at the luckiest this weekend. I have seen this award floating around the bloggy world and always thought it was soo cute with the cupcakes - well now I can call it mine own! The idea is to list 10 things that make you happy and then pass it on!
- My husband. I could give you a ton of reasons why, but really I don't need to. I just love him
- Aiden. That's also a given. He just makes me soo happy.
- Coffee - should also be a given, I have at least a cup a day - just heard the pot kick on now!
- My blog world. I love having a place to be honest about my feelings, to share with others, to admit hard things like my current McFatty Monday's post, and to laugh and cry with all of you.
- Reading a good book. I love to cry when I read a book, or find myself gasping out loud.
- Digging out the flip flops after a long winter. Oh how I love my cheap Old Navy colored ones... yay for spring and painted toe nails!
- Target. I just love me some Target. We are boring people, last time we went we got formula and file folders and post it notes... but I NEVER pass up a chance to wander around and look!
- Working on Crafts. I am learning to sew things and love doing so when I have the time. I have a few projects lined up to get to. Also I used to scrapbook a lot and if it weren't such a hassle to dig stuff out and then put it all away I'd work on it often. One day I want a "craft room".
- Fall leaves and a fire in the fire place. I am glad spring is here, or at least getting close, but I do always look forward to the changing colors and crackling of a fire burning.
- Sushi. Oh I love me some sushi. If it weren't soo expensive we'd have it every day in this house.
- Care at what used to be her family's name blog (not sure if she took the name down for a reason so I'll not put it on here....) - the name is currently TBD.
- Joanne at Me, Myself & I.
- Sar at Becoming A Mommy
- Mrs. Muffins
